Kleen-Rite Corp. revitalizes former Donegal Industries facility

Kleen-Rite bought the building previously known as Donegal Industries, a sewing factory that made children’s costumes and clothing. Kleen-Rite contracted ISE to raise the roof of the existing building to increase the cubic feet of storage space in the facility. The building’s 12 foot and 18 foot high roofs were raised at a rate of one foot per hour, and now they are 27 feet high, giving the building a total of 105,000 square feet of useable space!

Kleen-Rite chose Scenic Ridge as their design-build contractor to get the job done.  Scenic Ridge handled the project from concept to completion. We began by constructing concrete foundations and slabs.  After the roof was raised, SRC installed insulated metal panels with the signature Kleen-Rite bright red exterior and white interior.  We removed existing interior walls to provide open interior spaces for extensive racking and warehouse storage. A 2-story office was created for personnel/orders/shipping/receiving offices.  The building also had the sprinkler systems removed and replaced, including a 90,000 gallon cistern to provide adequate water capacity. This project started in January 2016 and was completed by October 2016.  Thanks to Kleen-Rite and all who made this project a success!
